Arodbiedrību darbība Latvijā: LIZDA arodbiedrības gadījuma izpēte

Bakalaura darba autore pēta arodbiedrību darbību Latvijā, veicot Latvijas Izglītības un zinātnes darbinieku arodbiedrības gadījuma izpēti (LIZDA). Darba mērķis ir noskaidrot, kas nosaka indivīdu pievienošanos un darbošanos LIZDA. Autore izmanto socioloģisko racionālās izvēles teoriju, darba tirgus regulējuma analīzi un sociālo tīklu analīzi.
Autore veica daļēji strukturētas intervijas ar LIZDA valdes locekļiem, esošajiem un bijušajiem arodbiedrības biedriem un, ar bijušo izglītības ministru Robertu Ķīli. Autore secina, ka daudzus skolotājus, pievienoties un palikt arodbiedrībā, motivē vajadzība pēc materiāla un nemateriāla atbalsta, kā arī atklājās, ka arodbiedrības primārās intereses ir skolotāju algas.

The bachelor thesis is based on a case study of Latvian Trade Union of Education and Science Employees (LIZDA). The thesis is aimed to identify what is determining an individual’s decision to join and stay in the trade union. The author uses the sociological rational choice theory, the analysis of labour market regulation and the analysis of social network system.
The author conducted semi-structured interviews with board members of LIZDA, current and former trade union members and the former education minister Roberts Kilis. The author concludes that a need for material and immaterial support motivates many teachers to join and stay in the union. It appears that the primary concern of the trade union is wages for teachers.
