Procesu konceptuālā modelēšana rīkā LuMod – iespējas, problēmas un risinājumi

Abstract

LUmod ir rīks, paredzēts Latvijas Universitātes procesu modelēšanai. Šī darba mērķis ir pārliecināties par to, ka rīks ir pietiekami funkcionāls, lai tā lietotājs spētu veikt visas nepieciešamās darbības. Mērķa sasniegšanai tika uzstādīti uzdevumi: apskatīties rīka iespējas, aprakstīt problēmas un piedāvāt to risinājumus. Rīka pirmā problēma ir tāda, ka tam trūkst sadarbības ar Excel tabulām. Ja modelis ir liels, tas vairs nav pārskatāms un darboties ar to ir grūti, bet ja varētu datus par diagrammām glābāt un mainīt arī Excel tabulā, tas ļoti atvieglotu šo procesu. Šī darba rakstīšanas laikā tika izstrādāts šīs problēmas risinājums programmēšanas valodā VBA. Otrā problēma saistīta ar daudzlietotāju režīma pieslēgumu rīkam. Darbā ir salīdzināti divi pieslēguma varianti un piedāvāts labākais no tiem.

Conceptual process modeling in the tool LUmod – options, problems and solutions

LUmod is a modeling tool for processes of University of Latvia. The objective of this work is to make sure that it is functional enough and a user can perform all necessary operations. To achieve this objective the following tasks were set: view the tool’s options, describe the problems and offer solutions. First problem of the tool was lack of cooperation wirh Excel tables. If model was large it was not easy to operate with it. If it was possible to keep and change diagrams in Excel table, it would facilitate this process. A solution in the programmimg language VBA was developed while writing this work. Tool’s second problem is related to connecting the multi-user mode to it. Two solutions are compared and the best one is determined.
