Ieguvumi un zaudējumi, atsakoties no Adobe Flash tehnoloģijas

Abstract

Bakalaura darba mērķis ir novērtēt Adobe Flash iespējas, salīdzinot tās ar HTML5 tehnoloģijas iespējām. Tiek veikts ieskats arī citās bagātinātu tīmekļa lietotņu (angl. Rich Internet Applications) izstrādes un darbināšanas tehnoloģijās - Microsoft Silverlight un JavaFX. Ņemot vērā par Adobe Flash un HTML5 iegūto informāciju, tiek veikta to piedāvāto iespēju salīdzināšana trīs kategorijās: vispirms tiek salīdzinātas īpašības, funkcionalitāte un iespējas, ko piedāvā gan Adobe Flash, gan HTML5, pēc tam atsevišķi tiek apskatītas iespējas, kuras nodrošina tikai Adobe Flash vai tikai HTML5. Rezultātā tiek izdarīti secinājumi par to, vai šobrīd būtu iespējams atteikties no Adobe Flash tehnoloģijas HTML5 labā un lietotājs no tā neciestu. „Pros and Cons of Giving Up Adobe Flash”. The aim of this paper is to evaluate and compare features of both Adobe Flash and HTML5, as well as analyze other development tools, such as Microsoft Silverlight and JavaFx. The evaluation of Adobe Flash and HTML5 is divided in three parts: in the first part, features, characteristics and functionalities of both technologies are compared; in the second and third part features unique to one of the two technologies are analyzed. The ultimate goal is to demonstrate whether Adobe Flash can be subsituted with HTML5 without any loss of features and without deteriorating user experience.
