Maģistra darbā aplūkotā tēma “Latvijas upju mazūdens periodu noteces ilgtermiņa izmaiņas” atspoguļo Latvijas 23 upju hidroloģisko režīmu, vasaras un ziemas mazūdens periodus laikā no 1951. – 2008. gadam.
Atslēgas vārdi: mazūdens periods, upju notece, hidroloģiskais rajons The theme „Changes of Low Flow in Latvian Rivers”, discussed in the Master Paper, reflects the hydrological regime in the 23 Latvian rivers, period at the winter and summer low flows 1951. – 2008. The territory of Latvia is divided into four districts - Western, Central, Northern and Eastern.
The aim of the study was to determine the long-term changes of the low flow patterns for the cold and warm periods of the year in Latvian rivers.
Latvian rivers division of runoff in the course of time is changing: cold season it increases, as increases rainfall, runoff decreases at the spring, but warm period hasn’t observe significant change.
While working out the Master Paper the emphasis of the main studies and calculations was put on Latvian rivers low flows.
The first chapter of the Paper deals with theoretical part that describes low flows, its distribution and impact at the different region of the World. Insight, what conditions and what factors caused the drought, as well as it affects the environment.
The second chapter looks at the used materials and methods with the help of which the studies were carried out and the results obtained.
The third chapter introduces the analysis of the acquired results at the Latvian rivers runoff on the changes and low flow period.
Key words: low flow, river runoff, hydrological districts
