Maģistra darbā veikts pētījums par Engures ezera nērijas austrumu krasta jaunāko kāpu veidošanās raksturu. Darbā pētīti piekrastes kāpās notiekošie morfodinamiskie procesi, apskatīta kāpu attīstība. Darbā veikta zinātniskās literatūras apzināšana par par piekrastē notiekošajiem eolajiem procesiem, kāpu veidošanos un izplatību. Darbs balstās uz lauka un laboratorijas pētījumos materiāliem, kuri iegūti veicot nivelēšanas un urbšanas darbus, nogulumu aprakstīšanu un paraugu ievākšanu granulometriskā sastāva analīzēm, kā arī materiāla un datu apstrādi un interpretāciju. Balstoties uz veiktajiem pētījumiem un literatūras apskatu, tika interpretēti iegūtie rezultāti un izdarīti secinājumi par jaunāko kāpu veidojumu raksturu un attīstību pētāmajā teritorijā. Darba kopējais apjoms ir 61 lappuse, tas satur 30 attēlus un 4 tabulas, kā arī 9 pielikums.

Master’s thesis investigates the formation characteristics of the newest dunes in the eastern part of Lake Engure separating spit. The thesis examines the scientific literature about aeolian processes taking place on the seashore and the formation and distribution of dunes. It is based on results of field and laboratory studies which are obtained by doing levelling and geological drilling works, description of sediments and collection of samples to perform granulometric analysis, as well as processing and analysis of the materials and data. The obtained results were interpreted on the basis of the performed research and the reviewed literature, and conclusions were made about the characteristics and development of the newest dunes in the investigated area. Master’s thesis includes: 61 pages, 30 figures, 4 tables and 9 attachments.
