Tulka ētika reliģiskās tulkošanas kontekstā

Abstract

Darba mērķis ir izpētīt, kuros tulku ētikas aspektos vienā reliģiskā organizācijā – Latvijas evaņģēliski luteriskajā Baznīcā (tālāk tekstā - LELB) varētu būt problēmas, kā arī sniegt ieteikumus tulkošanas kvalitātes uzlabošanai. Galvenā hipotēze ir, ka arī reliģiskām organizācijām ir nepieciešams izstrādāt tulku ētikas kodeksu, lai uzlabotu mutiskās tulkošanas kvalitāti un veicinātu tulku un darba devēju sadarbību. Pētījuma rezultātā noskaidrotas konkrētas problēmas, kas ietekmē tulkojuma kvalitāti, un secināts, ka tās novērst varētu palīdzēt tieši konkrētai reliģiskai organizācijai izstrādāts un ievērots tulku ētikas kodekss un profesionālie standarti.

The aim of the paper is to study the practice of interpreting in a religious organization – the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Latvia, and to find out the problems it could have with different aspects of the Interpreter’s Code of Ethics and Professional Standards. The thesis of the paper is that development of a separate Interpreter’s Code of Ethics and Professional Standards could improve the quality of interpreting and would promote better cooperation between interpreters and employers. The study shows the main problems affecting the quality of interpretation, as well as a need for an Interpreter’s Code of Ethics and Professional Standards for the organization.
