Bērnu priekšstati par bibliotēku un bibliotekāriem

Abstract

Bakalaura darba „Bērnu priekšstati par bibliotēku un bibliotekāriem” mērķis ir noskaidrot bērnu priekšstatus par bibliotēku un bibliotekāriem. Par pētījuma teorētisko bāzi kalpo sociālā konstruktīvisma filozofijas virziens. Darbā īsumā tiek aplūkots priekšstata un stereotipa jēdziens, to veidošanās mehānisms sabiedrībā, tiek aprakstīti bērna personības attīstību ietekmējošie faktori, kā arī aplūkoti līdzīgi pētījumi par bibliotekāru stereotipiem sabiedrībā. Izmantojot daļēji strukturēto fokusgrupu intervijas metodi, pētījumā tiek noskaidroti 2. un 6. klases bērnu priekšstati par bibliotēku un bibliotekāriem, kā tie rodas un kādi faktori ietekmē priekšstatu veidošanos. Pētījumā iegūtie rezultāti ļauj konstatēt esošos bibliotekāru stereotipus bērnu uztverē un prognozēt veidus, kā mainīt negatīvu priekšstatu veidošanos sabiedrībā.

The main goal of bachelor paper „Children`s perception of library and librarians” is to investigate, how children are related to library and librarians. As a theoretical basis social constructivism is employed as one of the main tools for the investigation. The research paper examines the concept of “stereotype” and “perception” and also studies the factors influencing the perception and development of children’s personality. Children’s perception of library and librarians is investigated using semi-structured focus groups interview method. Empirical research has been conducted at forms 2 and 6. The results of the investigation expose the existing children`s perception as well as their stereotypes about librarians and establish factors, that influence perception, and calculate the ways of changing the negative perception.
