Speciālisti ar maģistra grādu bibliotēkzinātnē un informācijā darba tirgū

Abstract

Maģistra darba mērķis ir noskaidrot akadēmiskās maģistra studiju programmas „Bibliotēkzinātne un informācija” absolventu un studentu viedokļus par maģistra grāda nozīmi darba tirgū. Svarīgākie pētījuma jautājumi – kādas ir absolventu profesionālās karjeras pēc maģistra grāda iegūšanas, vai maģistra grādam ir nozīme profesionālās karjeras veidošanā. Par pētījuma teorētisko bāzi kalpo pragmatisms un Sociālā kapitāla teorija. Darbā izmantotā datu ieguves metodes - daļēji strukturētās intervijas un fokusgrupas diskusija. Pēc pētījuma rezultātiem var secināt - izglītības prasības bibliotēku darbiniekiem neatbilst mūsdienu prasībām. Maģistra grādam darba tirgū ir liela nozīme, bet svarīgas ir arī iegūtās zināšanas. The purpose of this master work is to study out academic study program’s of ”Library science and information” graduates students opinions about importance of Master of social sciences in library science and information in job market. The main question of research included investigational aspect – what think graduates about importance of master’s degree in job market? The theoretical background of this study is „pragmatism” and „Social capital theory”. The research method used in the work - partly structured interviews and focus group interview. The results of this research give answer - educational requirements to library professionals do not conform with requirements of today’s situation. Master’s degree has a great importance in job market, but no less important significance has knowledge.
