ASV ietekme uz Indijas - Pakistānas drošības kompleksu (1954 – 2008)

Abstract

Darbu izvirzīju problēmjautājumus: Kāda ir Indijas un Pakistānas vieta ASV ārpolitikas stratēģijā Aukstā kara laikā, pēc Aukstā kara laikā un periodā pēc 9/11? Kā ASV politika Dienvidāzijā ir ietekmējusi Indijas - Pakistānas drošības kompleksu? Kā ASV iejaukšanās Indijas – Pakistānas drošības kompleksā ir ietekmējusi Kašmiras konfliktu? Darbā izvirzīju hipotēzi: ASV realizētā politika Dienvidāzijā ir nostiprinājusi Indijas – Pakistānas drošības kompleksu un līdz ar to nav veicinājusi Kašmiras konflikta atrisinājumu. Darbā izvirzītie mērķi: analizēt ASV intereses reģionā un to ietekmi uz Indijas – Pakistānas drošības kompleksu; pārbaudīt, kā ASV iejaukšanās Indijas – Pakistānas drošības kompleksā ietekmē Kašmiras konfliktu.

The following issues were looked at in the given paper: What was the role of India and Pakistan in foreign policy strategy of the U.S. during the Cold War, after it and after the 9/11 attack. How has the U.S. policy in South Asia affected India’s-Pakistan’s security complex? What impact has the U.S. intervention in the India’s-Pakistan’s security complex created on the Kashmir conflict? The author of the given paper put forward the following hypothesis: the policy carried out in South Asia by the U.S. has strengthened the India’s-Pakistan’s security complex, therefore it did not lead to resolution of the Kashmir conflict. Aims of the paper were: to analyze the U.S. interests in the region and their impact on the India’s-Pakistan’s security complex; to check, how has the U.S. intervention in the India’s-Pakistan’s security complex affected the Kashmir conflict.
