| dc.description.abstract | Darbā aplūkota LGBT tiesību attīstība Baltijas valstīs kopš neatkarības atjaunošanas. Tika izvēlēts pētīt tieši LGBT tiesības, jo šī diskriminācijas forma ir viena no visaugstākajām ES. Mērķis ir noskaidrot, vai veiktās izmaiņas likumos ir dēļ valstu vēlmes pievienoties ES. Tika apskatīts gan nosacījumu kopums, kas jāizpilda iestājoties ES, gan arī kādi likumi tika grozīti un kad, kā arī viedokļu izpausmes sabiedrībā. Tika secināts, ka likuma grozījumi ir veikti dēļ ES nosacījumu izpildes, tas ir, valstu vēlmes iestāties ES. Turklāt, tendence Baltijas valstīs nākotnē nav pretimnākoša LGBT personām un to tiesību paplašināšanai, ar iespējamu izņēmumu – Igauniju.

| dc.description.abstract | This research paper is about LGBT rights and its development in Baltic States since they gained independence. Author chose to research LGBT rights, because this discrimination form is one of the highest in EU. The aim was to understand whether or not the amendments in laws were made because of the states aim to join EU. Author researched term EU conditionality, what laws were amended and when, and what are the opinions in society. It was concluded that law amendments were made because of EU conditionality, that is, states aim to join EU. Besides, the tendency in Baltic States in future is not supportive for LGBT persons and their rights, with possible exception – Estonia.
