Testēšanas automatizācija POS termināļu programmatūrai

Abstract

Strauji attīstoties tehnoloģijām, POS termināļu lietojumprogrammatūras kļūst sarežģītākas un lietošanā bīstamākas, bet izstrādes cikli — ātrāki. Līdz ar to pieaug arī testu gadījumu skaits un nepieciešamība pēc ātras testu izpildes, ko ar vien problemātiskāk ir sasniegt veicot testēšanu manuāli. Ņemot vērā, ka programmatūras testēšana ir laikietilpīgs process, bez automatizācijas rīkiem POS termināļu programmatūras testēšanai nevar iztikt. Darbā tiek aprakstīta uzņēmumā izmantotā testēšanas pieeja, definēts POS programmatūras testēšanas pilnības jēdziens, izanalizētas testēšanas problēmas un kļūdas. Pamatojoties uz konkrēta projekta vajadzībām tiek piedāvātas metodes, kā paaugstināt programmatūras testēšanas pilnību un izveidots POS termināļu testēšanas efektivitātes novērtēšanas modelis.

While technologies are rapidly increasing, the POS terminal software applications become complicated and more dangerous in use, but the development cycles - faster. Thus, the number of test cases is increasing, and there appears the necessity for a rapid test execution, what is problematic to achieve testing software manually. Under these circumstances, and taking into account that software testing is a time consuming process, POS software testing cannot be done without automation tools. The paper describes the testing approach used in a company, the POS software testing completeness notion is defined, testing problems and errors are analyzed. Based on the specific needs of the project special methods to increase the software testing completeness have been offered and POS terminals testing efficiency evaluation model is created.
