Abstract

Bikše, J. 2011. Leduslaikmeta beigu posma un holocēna smilšainie nogulumi Bārtavas līdzenuma vidusdaļā. Bakalaura darbs. LU Ģeogrāfijas un Zemes zinātņu fakultāte, Ģeoloģijas nodaļa. Bakalaura darba mērķis ir izpētīt leduslaikmeta beigu posma un holocēna smilšainos nogulumus Bārtavas līdzenuma vidusdaļā. Autors, izstrādājot bakalaura darbu, lauka pētījumu ietvaros veica 28 urbumus, kuros iegūtie nogulumi tika dokumentēti un sagatavoti turpmākām analīzēm laboratorijā, tai skaitā granulometriskai analīzei ar lāzerdifrakcijas metodi. Iegūtie analīžu rezultāti ļāva raksturot Bārtavas līdzenuma vidusdaļā leduslaikmeta beigu posmā un holocēnā veidojošos smilšaino nogulumu granulometriskā sastāva izmaiņas un izdarīt secinājumus par to veidošanās apstākļiem. Darbā ir 71 lappuse, darbs sastāv no 3 nodaļām, ievada, secinājumiem, literatūras saraksta un 2 pielikumiem.

Bikše, J. 2011. Late Glacial and Holocene sandy deposits in the middle part of the Bārtava plain. Bachelor thesis. University of Latvia, Faculty of Geography and Earth Sciences, Department of Geology. The aim of Bachelor’s thesis was to study the Late Glacial and Holocene sandy deposits in the middle part of the Bārtava Plain. In the frame of the bachelor’s work 28 sediment cores were done and obtained sediments were examined and documented. Sediment samples were collected for laboratory analyses, including determination of grain size distribution by using laser diffraction. The obtained results allow to characterise changes in sediment particle size distribution from the middle part of the Bārtava Plain accumulated during the Late Glacial and the Holocene and conclude about their formation conditions.

The bachelor work contains 71 page, 3 chapters, introduction, conclusion, list of literature and 2 appendixes.
