Abstract

Bakalaura darbs “Čārlza Dikensa romāna “Deivids Koperfilds” salīdzinājums ar tā ekranizācijam” analizē atšķirības un līdzības starp romānu un trim filmām, kuras tika uzņemtas 1935, 1999 un 2000 gadā. Šis darbs salīdzina, pirmkārt, romāna sižetu ar katras filmas scenāriju, un otrkārt, vissvarīgākos romāna personāžus ar viņu pārstāvjiem filmās. Čārlza Dikensa romāns, kurš tika uzrakstīts laika posmā no 1849. līdz 1850. gadam, apraksta zēna dzīvi no bērnības līdz pieauguša cilvēka vecumam. Šo romānu var uzskatīt par vienu no Dikensa autobiogrāfiskajiem darbiem. Bakalaura darba pamatideja ir salīdzināt romānu ar trim ekranizācijam, atrast un aprakstīt atšķirības un līdzības starp romānu un katru filmu, kā arī pierādīt to, ka grāmatas rakstīšana un filmas uzņemšana ir divi dažādi mākslas virzieni. Autore secina, ka katrs/katra kinorežisors/-e izprot grāmatu pēc sava prāta un padara filmu par jaunu romāna lasīšanu. The Bachelor Paper “Comparison of Charles Dickens’ Novel “David Copperfield” and Its’ Screen Version” analyses differences and similarities between the book and three films, shot in the years 1935, 1999 and 2000. The paper compares, firstly, the plot of the novel with the scripts of each film and secondly, the most important heroes from the book with their representations in the films. Ch. Dickens’ novel written in 1849-1850, describes the life of a boy from his childhood till the years of his youth. This novel can be considered the most autobiographical novel from Ch. Dickens’ writings. The leading idea of the paper is to compare the novel and three films, to find and to describe differences and similarities between the book and each film, and to prove that writing the book and making the film are two different types of art. The author concludes that every film director understands the book in his/her own way and makes the film as a new reading of the novel.
