In this work was compared content of glycoalkaloids α-solanine and α-chaconine in potato genotypes grown in conventional and organic farming as well as compared the content of glycoalkaloids of the same potato genotypes in two consecutive years. For the study were chosen 10 different potato genotypes grown in the fields of Priekuli State Plant Breeding Institute. The content of glycoalkaloids was determined by liquid chromatography (LC) – masspektrometry (MS) method. The content of glycoalkaloids α-solanine and α-chaconine was found in the both farming types, there wasn’t differ significantly as content of glycoalkaloids in biological fields was only 1.06 times higher than that in conventional fields. After content of glycoalkaloids in potato harvest during two consecutive years were compared the conclusion that in 2011th the content of glycoalkaloids in the genotypes of potatoes is 1.74 times higher than that in year 2010th. The highest content of glycoalkaloids 126 mg/kg was observed in genotype "Agrie dzeltenie". Keywords: potatoes, glycoalkaloids, α-solanine, α-chaconine, conventional fields, organic fields, liquid chromatography – mass spectrometry.en_US
