Tika analizēti sekojoši dati: tukšās dūšas glikoze, lipīdi, glikētais hemoglobīns, arteriālai Title: Insulin resistance in PCOS patients and its relationship with other risk factors (CV disease, diabetes).

Study aim: PCOS is one of the most common endocrinopathy among women of reproductive age. According to the literature data, patients with PCOS have an increased risk of cardiovascular diseases (CVD) and diabetes mellitus. Therefore, in this study it is analyzed, whether this applies to Latvian population.
Study goals: to compare CVD risk in women with PCOS and in the general population in Latvia.
Material and methods: case histories of PCOS patients (E28.2 after ICD-10 classification) and non-PCOS patients from Riga Eastern Clinical University Hospital „Gaiļezers” where analyzed in this retrospective study. Patients were selected from different departments, except for department of cardiology. Patients were selected using the Rotterdam criteria. Control group: accidentally chosen case histories
