No apzīmējuma pie cilvēka un atpakaļ: sociālo reprezentāciju ietekme uz patvēruma meklētājiem un bēgļiem

Abstract

This paper is a qualitative research based on field observations and interviews which attempts to connect the refugee and asylum seeker labels to their social representations as well as their impact on the self-representation of the labelled. Due to the multi-disciplinary approach used here, the role of the 1951 Refugee Convention is first discussed, followed by arguments taken from an International Relations perspective. Then sociological concepts such as label and social representation are defined, interconnected and then linked to literature on the case of asylum seekers and refugees. Finally the empirical research was conducted following a multi-ethnographic approach to look at the research question from different angles in order to give more depth to the results.

Maģistra darba mērķis ir izpētīt sasaisti starp bēgļu un patvēruma meklētāju apzīmējumiem un viņu sociālo reprezentāciju Rietumu sabiedrībā un šo reprezentāciju ietekmi uz bēgļu un patvēruma meklētāju paštēlu. Tiek lietota starpdisciplināra pieeja un vispirms tiek aplūkota 1951. gada ANO Konvencija, kura tiek kritiski izvērtēta no starptautisko attiecību perspektīvas. Darba teorētiskajā pamatojumā pievērsta uzmanība arī apzīmējuma un sociālo reprezentāciju definīcijām, šo jēdzienu sasaistei un lietojumam zinātniskajā literatūrā par bēgļiem un patvēruma meklētājiem. Pētījumā ir lietotas kvalitatīvas pētījuma metodes – etnogrāfija, veicot novērojumus un intervijas. Pētījuma jautājumi tiek aplūkot no vairākiem aspektiem, lai piešķirtu dziļumu rezultātu analīzei.
