| dc.description.abstract | Šajā bakalaura darbā tiek pierādīts, ka Latvijas metālisti ir subkultūra, kā arī tiek noskaidrots, kāda ir šīs subkultūras attieksme pret reliģiju.
Pētījuma hipotēze ir, ka sabiedrībā pastāv stereotips, ka metālisti neciena reliģiskās vērtības.
Mērķis ir noskaidrot, kāda loma ir reliģijai metālistu subkultūrā un kā tā ietekmē metālistu subkultūras aktivitātes. Lai to noskaidrotu, tika aplūkotas subkultūru, reliģijas un mūzikas klausītāju tipoloģijas teorijas. Lai iegūtu empīrisko materiālu, tika izmantotas trīs metodes: internetaptaujas, intervijas, novērojums.
Galvenie bakalaura darba secinājumi ir tādi, ka metālisti ir muzikālā subkultūra, un ka tomēr lielākā daļa metālistu ciena reliģiskās vērtības vai izturas pret tām toleranti.

| dc.description.abstract | The current thesis discusses the topic of Latvian meatheads. The author proves that it is a
subculture and elicits its attitude towards religion.
The hypothesis of the research: the society maintains the stereotype that metal heads do
not respect religious values.
The main objective of the thesis is to clear up the role of religion in the metalheads
subculture and its influence on metalheads activities. To accomplish it the thesis is
concentrated on the investigation of the theories of subcultures, religion and music listeners
typology. To obtain the empirical material three methods were used: online survey,
interviews and observation.
The conclusion: metalheads are considered as musical subculture and the most part
respects and tolerates religious values.
