Datu apmaiņa publisko bibliotēku elektronisko katalogu veidošanā

Abstract

Tēmas aktualitāti nosaka Latvijas bibliotēku darbība elektronisko katalogu veidošanā, paredzot ekonomiski izdevīgu, efektīvu kataloģizācijas metožu pielietošanu praksē. Pētījuma mērķis ir tiešsaistes datu apmaiņas iespēju izpēte publiskajās bibliotēkās Pētīti datu apmaiņai nepieciešamie priekšnoteikumi: datu resursu kvalitāte, BIS ALISE realizētās iespējas datu apmaiņai. Teorētiskā aspektā apskatītas svarīgākās bibliotēkzinātnes koncepcijas par datu apmaiņu un veikta jēdzienu terminoloģiskā analīze. Pētījumā iegūtie rezultāti apliecina, ka nepieciešamo priekšnoteikumu kopums datu apmaiņai ir nodrošināts, panākot tiešsaistes datu apmaiņas plašāku pielietojumu kataloģizācijā. Pašreizējā brīža problēma ir operatīvs kvalitatīvu datu resursu nodrošinājums centralizētās kataloģizācijas vajadzībām.

The topicality of the theme is put forward by the activities of the Latvian libraries in creation of electronic catalogues, planning economically advantageous, effective application of cataloguing methods in practice. The aim of the study is investigation of online data exchange options at public libraries. The preconditions necessary for data exchange – quality data resources, the data exchange possibilities offered by the LIS (Library Information System) ALISE – have been studied. The principal library science concepts regarding data exchange have been examined from their theoretical aspects and the terminological analysis of terms has been provided for. The results of the study prove that the set of the necessary preconditions for data exchange has been provided through more extensive use of online data exchange for cataloguing purposes. The present problem is the provision of operative quality data resources for the needs of centralised cataloguing.
