Jauniešu laulību nenoslēgšanas iemesli

Abstract

Latvijā ar katru gadu samazinās reģistrētā laulībā dzimušo bērnu īpatsvars, palielinās pirmajā laulībā stājušos cilvēku vecums. Vienlaikus samazinās reģistrēto laulību skaits, arvien biežāk jaunieši izvēlas dzīvot nereģistrētā kopdzīvē. Pētījuma mērķis ir noskaidrot jauniešu, kuri dzīvo nereģistrētā kopdzīvē, uzskatus par ģimeni, laulībām, nereģistrētu kopdzīvi, galvenos šādas kopdzīves uzsākšanas iemeslus un laulību nenoslēgšanas ietekmējošos faktorus. Lai arī jaunieši paši dzīvo nereģistrētā kopdzīvē, viņuprāt, ģimeni veido partneri, kuri ir precējušies. Kā galvenais nereģistrētas kopdzīves uzsākšanas iemesls ir vēlme pārbaudīt savas attiecības, bet laulību nenoslēgšanu ietekmē naudas trūkums un nepietiekamā gatavība laulībām. In Latvia the proportion of registered marriage births is slowly decreasing and the age at first marriage is increasing every year. Meanwhile, the number of registered marriages is decreasing and youths are more frequently choosing to live in cohabitation. The objective of research is to clarify the views of cohabiting youths on family, marriage, cohabitation, and the main reasons and factors behind their choice of cohabitation over marriage. Although youths are cohabiting, their belief is that that the family consists of married partners. The main reason behind cohabitation is desire to test their relationship but living outside marriage is caused by shortage of money and under-preparedness for it.
