dc.description.abstract | Darba mērķis ir analizēt, kā Latvijas un Itālijas medijos atbalstīts vai kritizēts taupības politikas kurss, pievēršot uzmanību kopīgajam un atšķirīgajam Latvijas laikraksta „Diena” un Itālijas laikraksta „Corriere della Sera” interneta versijās piedāvātajos krīzes un taupības rāmējumos.
Aplūkoti krīzes un taupības teorētiskie aspekti, analizēta jauno mediju loma informācijas plūsmā, mediju nozīmība krīzes laikā, sniegts ieskats taupības un patērnieciskuma idejas konfliktā. Pētījumā izmantota kontentanalīze un rāmējumu analīze, ar kuras palīdzību analizēti vēstījumi no 2008. gada septembra līdz 2013. gada martam.
Pētījuma rezultāti norāda, ka Latvijas medijā pastāv izteiktāks taupības politikas atbalsts nekā Itālijas medijā, kurā, ņemot vērā šaubu un nolieguma dispozīcijas īpatsvaru, dominē kontekstuāli negatīvāks taupības rāmējums, tādā veidā mudinot auditoriju kritiskāk vērtēt un apšaubīt valdības noteikto taupības kursu. | en_US |
dc.description.abstract | The aim of the thesis is to analyse how Latvian and Italian media have supported or criticized the austerity policy, paying special attention to similarities and differences in framing of crisis and austerity in the online versions of Latvian newspaper “Diena” and Italian newspaper “Corriere della Sera”.
The issue describes the theoretical aspects of crisis and austerity, analysis the role of new media, examines the importance of media during crisis and provides an insight into the dispute between austerity and consumerism. The research studies the period from September 2008 to March 2013 and is based on the methods of framing and content analysis.
The research results draw to conclusions that Latvian media expresses more support towards the austerity policy, whereas Italian media pays more attention to doubts and denial of austerity, thus representing more negative framing and encouraging the audience to critically evaluate and question the government’s implemented austerity policy. | en_US |
