| dc.description.abstract | Maģistra darba “Sociālo aģentu aborta diskursi Latvijā” mērķis ir noskaidrot iespējamos konfliktus vai saskaņu starp dažādu sociālo aģentu aborta diskursiem Latvijā.
Nepieciešamība iegūt šādu kopainu saistīta ar jautājumu par ierosinājumiem noteikt striktākus ierobežojumus aborta veikšanai, kas 2012. gadā izraisīja plašas diskusijas Latvijas sabiedrībā.
Pētījuma mērķa sasniegšanai autore ar sekundāro datu analīzes palīdzību ir veikusi jau pētīto aspektu izklāstu aborta jautājumā un vēl neizpētītā likumdevēju diskursu noteikšanu, izmantojot kritisko diskursa analīzi. Kritiskā diskursa analīzē tiek skatītas ”Latvijas Vēstneša” portālu ”Par likumu un valsti” un ”Jurista Vārda” 54 publikācijas par aborta tēmas juridiskajiem aspektiem.
Šāda publikāciju un Latvijas konteksta analīzes izpēte sniedza ieskatu dažādu sociālo aģentu aborta diskursos Latvijā.
Darba rezultāti atklāj vadošos aborta diskursus Latvijā, sniedzot ieskatu, kuram no diskursiem atbalstu pauž lielākā daļa sieviešu reproduktīvajā vecumā un sabiedrība kopumā, tādējādi autore atklāj, kurš diskurss ir konfliktējošs ar lielākās sabiedrības daļas nostāju. Rezultāti raksturo veidus, kādos tiek virzīti aborta diskursi un sniedz ieskatu par to konstruējošo dabu.

| dc.description.abstract | The aim of Master thesis ”Social agents' discourses of abortion in Latvia” is to determine the possible disagreements or consensus among various social agents’ discourses of abortion in Latvia.
The necessity to obtain the overall picture is related to suggestion to set stricter limitations on abortions that caused wide scale discussions in the Latvian society in 2012.
In order to reach the aim of the Master thesis, author has studied the already investigated aspects of the abortion discourses by secondary data analysis as well as unexplored legislator discourses by using critical discourse analysis. 54 publications on the topic of legal aspects of abortion from the "Latvijas Vēstneša" portal "Par likumu un valsti" and ”Jurista Vārds” are viewed on Critical discourse analysis.
This analysis of publications and Latvian context regarding abortion provided an insight into the various Social agents' discourses of abortion in Latvia. The results reveal the leading Latvian abortion discourses, providing insight into those supported by majority of women in the reproductive age as well as on society in general; thereby the author reveals which discourse is in contradiction with the position of the majority of Latvian society. The results illustrate the ways in which the abortion discourses are outspread and provide insight into constructive nature of discourse.
