Oil and natural gas are commodities, whose price is formed on a global scale, and it is dependent not only from demand and supply in one country, but rather in regions and whole world. Their price in different markets is similar, whereas the purchasing power of consumers is different.
Because these resources play main role in worlds energy balance, the aim of this work is to find out, using statistical methods, how changing oil and gas prices can impact small, medium and large economies by their GDP.
Results show, that biggest value of oil and gas consumption and production to the GDP is in the small, oil and gas producing countries. Sectorial analysis show that as economy decreases, oil and gas expenses relative to the total expenses of the industry increases, making sectors more vulnerable to the dynamics of oil and gas prices.
