| dc.description.abstract | Darbs „Irbes šauruma krasta nogāzes seklūdens daļas dinamikas saistība ar krasta eroziju” ir pētījums par jūras krasta seklūdens daļas izmaiņām laika gaitā. Izstrādājot darbu tiek meklētas sakarības starp zemūdens vālu skaita izmaiņām un krasta procesiem. Darbā ir apskatīta Kurzemes piekrastes daļa – Irbes šaurums, kurā pētītas seklūdens vālu izmaiņas laika posmā no 1997. gada līdz 2010. gadam izmantojot aerofoto uzņēmumus. Sīkāk analizēts Irbes šauruma posms pretī Mazirbei, kur veikta batimetrijas kartēšana un analizēti jūras krasta ģeoloģisko procesu monitoringa dati.
Darbs iesākts ar literatūras analīzi, kurā tiek izskaidrota darbā lietotā terminoloģija un raksturoti piekrastē un tās seklūdens daļā notiekošie procesi. Ir minētas vairākas metodes, ar kurām iespējams noteikt krasta nogāzes seklūdens daļas dinamikas saistību ar krasta eroziju. Katra izmantotā metode darbā tiek analizēta.
Darbs sastāv no 4 nodaļām, tā kopējais apjoms ir 55 lappuses. Darbā ir ievietoti 30 attēli, izmantoti 28 literatūras avoti.

| dc.description.abstract | The paper „The connection between dynamics of coastal underwater slope and erosion of Irbes strait” is a research about changes in coastal underwater slope over time and its impact on coastal processes. The paper examines a part of Kurzemes coast – Irbes strait, where underwater bar changes since 1997 till 2007 are researched by using aerophotographs. Section of Irbes strait which is located in a coast of Mazirbe, was analyzed, using bathymetry data and Latvian coastal monitoring data, in detail.
The paper begins with analysis of literature, where the topic related terms and processes are explained. There are several methods mentioned, which could be used for determination of the correlation between dynamics of coastal underwater slope and coastal erosion and analysis of each method.
The Paper consists of 4 chapters, the amount of pages is 55 In the Paper there are 30 pictures, 28 sources of literature.
