Bakalaura darba “Eolie veidojumi Juglas ezera austrumu krastā” pētījuma mērķis ir izstrādāt Juglas ezera austrumu piekrastes eolo nogulumu raksturojumu, balstoties uz lauka un laboratorijas darbos iegūtajiem rezultātiem. Tēmas aktualitāte ir detāli teritorijas eolo veidojumu pētījumi, kas gan par autora izvēlēto, gan citām eolo nogulumu izplatības vietām Rīgā ir virspusēji. Pētījumā tiek sniegts teritorijas vispārīgs raksturojums, veikti lauku un laboratorijas darbi, to apraksts un interpretācija. Balstoties uz autora izveidotās teritorijas reljefa formu kartes un slīpslāņojuma mērījumiem, izveidota karte, kurā atainoti valdošo vēju virzieni kāpu veidošanās laikā. The aim of the investigation for the Bachelors Thesis, “Aeolian formations at the eastern coast of Jugla Lake”, was to study the aeolian deposits of the coastal area adjacent to the eastern shore of Lake Jugla and the conditions of the formation of these deposits, based on the results of field and laboratory work. This subject is significant because of the frequent absence of detailed investigations of aeolian deposits in Riga and its vicinity, which can lead to problems in the construction and maintenance of facilities on this territory, as a consequence of which the author chose to study in greater detail the Baloži sand dunes. The thesis presents a general description of the area and a description and interpretation of the field and laboratory work performed. Based on a relief map of the territory drawn by the author and on measurements of cross-bedding, a map showing the directions of the dominant winds during the formation of the dunes, characterizing the conditions under which the aeolian deposits were formed and describing the shapes of the aeolian land forms was produced.
