Anglicismi mūsdienu Spānijas un Latvijas sieviešu žurnālos

Abstract

Maģistra darbs pēta anglicismus mūsdienu Spānijas un Latvijas sieviešu žurnālos. Šī pētījuma mērķis ir noskaidrot, kā angļu valoda var ietekmēt spāņu un latviešu valodas caur sieviešu žurnālu valodu. Pētījums ir noderīgs gan valodniekiem, gan tulkiem un tulkotājiem. Darba teorētiskā daļa veido pētījuma pamatu, analizējot attiecīgos literatūras avotus. Darbā tiek iekļauts gan anglicismu apraksts, gan to klasifikācija un rašanās cēloņi, kā arī to lietošanas iemesli citās valodās un tā radītās sekas. Empīriskais pētījums salīdzinošās analīzes veidā tiek veikts ar mērķi noskaidrot, kāda veida anglicismi ir lietoti gan spāņu, gan latviešu sieviešu žurnālos. Pētījuma rezultāti pierāda, ka angļu valodas ietekme ir nenoliedzama gan spāņu, gan latviešu valodās, kā arī pārmērīga anglicismu lietošana spēj negatīvi ietekmēt valodas attīstību.

The present Master Thesis investigates anglicisms in modern Spanish and Latvian women’s magazines. This research aims at finding out how the English language can influence Spanish and Latvian through the language of women’s magazines. The study is useful both for linguists and translators/interpreters. The theoretical part establishes the background for the research by reviewing relevant theoretical sources. The paper includes both a description and classification of anglicisms, the causes and effects of their emersion in a language, the reasons to use them in a language, etc. Empirical research in the form of a comparative analysis is undertaken with the purpose to find out what kind of anglicisms are used both in Spanish and Latvian modern women’s magazines. The findings of the study have proved that the influence of the English language is evident both in Spanish and Latvian, and the abuse of anglicisms may have negative effects on the development of a language.
