Dzemdes mioma (DM) ir viena no biežākām ginekoloģiskajām saslimšanām sievietēm reproduktīvajā vecumā. Tā skar ~ 25% Amerikas Savienotajās valstīs (ASV) un līdz 50% citu valstu reproduktīvā vecuma sieviešu. (1, 2) Latvijā pētījumu par DM šobrīd nav. Tomēr, ņemot vērā Latvijas iedzīvotāju vecuma struktūru, kurā 40 – 60 gadus vecas sievietes sastāda ap 27% no visas sieviešu populācijas, DM sastopamība varētu būt samērā augsta. Pētījuma mērķis ir raksturot Latvijā pēdējo piecu gadu laikā ar DM operēto sieviešu populāciju un izanalizēt prospektīvi iegūtus datus par ar DM operēto sieviešu grupu laika periodā no 2012. gada novembra līdz 2013. gada martam Latvijas stacionāros. Diplomdarba pētījums sastāv no divām daļām: Nacionālā Veselības dienesta (NVD) datu aprakstoša pētījuma, kurā tika izmantota anketēšana ar speciāli izveidotu datu fiksēšanas anketi, iegūstot datus no NVD datu bāzes, un no šķērsgriezuma aprakstoša pētījuma, kurā pētījuma veikšanai un pacienšu datu ieguvei tika izstrādāta Uterine myoma (UM) is one of the most common gynaecological diseases among the women of reproductive age. It affects ~ 25% of women of reproductive age in the United States of America (USA) and up to 50% in other countries. (1, 2) There are no studies on UM in Latvia. Nevertheless, taking into consideration the age structure of Latvia’s population, where 40 – 60 years old women compose around 27% of all female population, UM incidence could be relatively high. The aim of the research is to describe female population operated with the UM during the last 5 years in Latvia, and to analyse prospectively collected data on women’s group operated with UM in the hospitals of Latvia from November 2012 to March 2013. Bachelor’s study is composed of two parts: descriptive study of NHS (the National Health Service) data, in which as a method of data collection was used specially created questionnaire, obtaining data from the NHS’s data base, and the cross-sectional descriptive study, for which, to
