Bibliotekārā periodika Latvijā: analīze un nākotnes iespējas

Abstract

Profesionālā literatūra nepieciešama visu veidu bibliotēkās dažādu līmeņu darbiniekiem. Bibliotēku nozares periodisko izdevumu sistēma laika gaitā nav tikusi apzināti plānota un veidota. Tā rezultātā bibliotēku jomas speciālistiem rodas grūtības profesionālās informācijas iegūšanā un izmantošanā. Pētījums veikts ar mērķi izpētīt bibliotekārās periodikas lomu nozares speciālistu profesionālajā darbībā, izanalizēt izdevuma „Bibliotēku Pasaule” saturisko aptvērumu un salīdzināt to ar bibliotekāru informācijas vajadzībām. Pētījuma gaitā pierādījās, ka nozares periodiskie izdevumi ir nozīmīgi profesionālās informācijas izplatīšanā, tomēr izdevums „Bibliotēku Pasaule” tikai daļēji apmierina nozares speciālistu informācijas vajadzības.

Professional literature is neccessary in all kinds of libraries to employees of different levels. The system of periodicals of sphere of libraries has not been deliberately planned and structured in course of time. As a result specialists of sphere of libraries have difficulties in gaining and using the professional information. The research is done with an aim to examine the role of the periodicals of libraries in the professional work of specialists of the field, to analyse the contents of the publication "Bibliotēku pasaule" and compare it with the informational needs of librarians. In the course of the research it proved that periodicals of the field are significant in distribution of professional information, still the publication "Bibliotēku pasaule" only partly satisfies the needs of information of the specialists of the field.
