Patentu tehniskās bibliotēkas vēsture

Abstract

Latvijā ir daudz bibliotēkas, kas veido un sastāda daļu no Latvijas kultūrvēsturiskā mantojuma. Patentu tehniskā bibliotēka ir daļa no tā visa. Darbā tiek apskatīts laika posms no 1949. gada, tas ir no tās dibināšanas gada, līdz mūsdienām. Šis ir pirmais darbs, kas ir veikts, lai izpētītu Patentu tehniskās bibliotēkas vēsturi. Viss izklāsts, pārsvarā, balstās uz Latvijas Valsts arhīvā pieejamiem materiāliem par Patentu tehnisko bibliotēku. Darbā tiek aplūkoti galvenie notikumi, kas ir norisinājušies bibliotēkā. Tiek attēlots, kā no tās dibināšanas gada, laika gaitā ir pieaudzis lasītāju skaits, bibliotēkas krājuma skaits, bibliotēkas pakalpojumi, bibliotēkas nodaļas u.tt. There are a number of libraries in Latvia, witch form part of the Latvian cultural and historical heritage. The Patent Technical Library also constitutes a part of it. The paper analyses the time period starting from 1949 – the year of foundation – until the present day. This is the first research into the history of the Patent Technical Library. Its content is largely based on the material available at the Latvian State Archives on the Patent Technical Library. The paper reviews the key events that have taken place at the library, giving an overview of how, over the years from its foundation, a growth in the number of visitors, library collections, library services and administration has taken place. The paper reflects the key directions of the library’s work, services and events throughout its history. Key words: Technology. Science. History. Library. Patent.
