Invazīvās augu sugas Sosnovska latvāņa diskurss Latvijas publiskajā telpā (2010-2013)

Abstract

Darba mērķis ir izpētīt, kā Latvijas publiskajā telpā tiek reprezentēts Sosnovska latvānis, tā apkarošanas veidi, kā noris komunikācija starp atbildīgajām iestādēm, kā arī saprast vai sabiedrība šo invazīvo sugu apzinās kā vides risku. Darba teorētisko daļu veido nodaļas par vides komunikāciju, riska komunikāciju, invazīvajām augu sugām. Darba empīriskajā daļā, izmantojot datu vākšanas metodes un datu apstrādes metodes, tika veikta ar latvāľiem saistīto publikāciju analīze, sabiedrības locekļu aptaujāšana un ekspertu intervijas. Iegūtie rezultāti apstiprina, ka Sosnovska latvānis tiek reprezentēts kā negatīva parādība, tai pat laikā tas Latvijā ir nozīmīgs vides risks, par kuru publiskajā telpā nepieciešams diskutēt. The aim of this work is to explore how Giant hogweed and struggle against its distribution has been represented in the public media and how the communication between responsible institutions is made in Latvia and to get to know, does the society recognizes it as a risk for environment. The theoretical part is made of chapters about risk communication, environment communication. In the empirical part, using data collecting methods and data, there was done the analysis of publications, a society members’ inquiry and the analysis of interviews with experts. The acquired results confirm that G. hogweed has been represented as a negative thing. The plant is valuated also as a significant environmental risk, and there is a necessary to discuss it in the public media so the country and society would feel obligated to act.
