Sieviešu loma konfliktu risināšanā: NATO gadījuma izpēte

Abstract

Darba mērķis ir noskaidrot, kāda ir sieviešu loma konfliktu situācijās un to risināšanā, skatoties no NATO darbības prizmas. Darba teorētiskajā daļā ir apskatīts, kāda ir sieviešu loma konfliktu situācijās un kā tās tiek konfliktu ietekmētas. Tāpat ir aplūkota starptautisko attiecību teorija, kura lielā mērā ir ietekmējusies no dzimumu perspektīvas, kā arī izzināti veidi, kā veikt preventīvus, miera uzturēšanas un pēckonflikta situācijas risināšanas pasākumi. Empīriskajā daļā, savukārt, tiek analizētas galvenās saistošās rezolūcijas, kas koncentrējas uz dzimuma perspektīvu ieviešanu starptautisko organizāciju darbā. Veikta NATO sperto soļu dzimumu perspektīvas integrācijā apskate un attīstība, kā arī aplūkots Latvijas devums NATO dzimumu perspektīvas integrēšanā un rīcībpolitikas īstenošanā. Pētniecības rezultātā ir secināts, ka NATO ir veicis dažāda veida pasākumus, lai integrētu dzimumu perspektīvu visos lēmumu pieņemšanas posmos, turpretī Latvijas devums ir bijis salīdzinoši vājš

The purpose of the research is to find out, what is the role of women in conflict situations and ways how to solve them based on the NATO action prism. In the theoretical part one has investigated the role of a woman in conflict situation and how they are affected by it. The international relations theory, which is highly influenced by gender perspective, has been researched, together as ways how to make preventive, peacemaking and post-conflict solving steps. The empirical part scrutinizes main relating resolutions which focus on mainstreaming gender perspective in the work of international organizations. Viewed the amount of steps NATO has taken to mainstream and develop gender perspective in the daily work. And finally studied the amount of work Latvia has done when it comes to mainstreaming gender perspective into NATO-related actions and policymaking. At the conclusion of the research it has been found, that NATO has made several kind of steps to integrate gender perspective.
