| dc.description.abstract | Pasaulē un Latvijā novērojamā straujā pilsētu teritoriju attīstība ietekmē to tuvumā esošās dabas teritorijas, it sevišķi lielu spiedienu radot uz īpaši aizsargājamām dabas teritorijām. Tādēļ viens no pēdējā laika plānošanas izaicinājumiem ir nodrošināt bioloģiskās daudzveidības aizsardzību un īpaši aizsargājamo dabas teritoriju attīstību urbānajās teritorijās.
Par pētījuma teritoriju izvēlēta Jelgavas pilsētā esošā dabas lieguma "Lielupes palieņu pļavas" teritorija, kuras attīstības perspektīvās izpaužas pretrunas starp Jelgavas pilsētas teritorijas plānojumā paredzētajiem attīstības virzieniem un dabas lieguma dabas aizsardzības plāna prasībām.
Maģistra darba mērķis ir izstrādāt šīs teritorijas attīstības modeli, kas nodrošinātu tās ilgtspējīgu attīstību, veicinot arī Jelgavas pilsētas kopējo attīstību.
Maģistra darba ietvaros veikts teritorijas esošās telpiskās plānošanas situācijas izvērtējums. Balstoties uz pasaules piemēriem, dabas lieguma "Lielupes palieņu pļavas" teritorijas visaptverošas analīzes rezultātiem, ieinteresēto pušu un ekspertu viedokļiem, izstrādāti priekšlikumus dabas lieguma "Lielupes palieņu pļavas" teritorijas attīstībai.

| dc.description.abstract | In Latvia and in the world expanding cities and other densly populated areas are affecting nearby theritories including special areas of conservation. That is why lately one of the biggest challanges in spatial planning in urban theritories is to ensure development of areas of conservation and protection of biodiversity.
As object of study was chosen nature reserve theritory in Jelgava - "Lielupes palieņu pļavas". Developement perspectives of the theritory and conservation plan requirements contradict withintended objectives and advancment directions of spatial planning of Jelgava.
The aim of master’s thesis is to form theritory development model which would provide long term progress of the theritory and in the mean time contribute to overall advancement of Jelgava.
Master thesis includes assessment of current spatial planning situation and nature reserve theritory "Lielupes palieņu pļavas" development propositions. The propositions are based on the nature reserve theritory overall analysis, viewpoints of related persons and experts and simillar precedents in other countries.
