Zinātniskās fantastikas ilustrāciju vizuālā stilistika

Abstract

Diplomdarbā tika pētītas zinātniskās fantastikas ilustrācijas, to attīstības vēsture un vizuālā stilistika. Darba teorētiskajā daļā tika noskaidrots zinātniskās fantastikas jēdziens un tā vēsturiskā izcelšanās un pazīmes, kas norāda piederību šim žanram. Tika apskatīti tādi zinātniskās fantastikas apakšžanri kā: space opera, new wave, cyberpunk un steampunk. Kā arī tiem piemītošās stilistiskās īpatnības. Attiecīgi katram attīstības posmam apzināti tā perioda ilustratori. Darba empīriskajā daļā tika apzinātas un analizētas zinātniskās fantastikas ilustrācijas, sagrupējot tās pa četriem laika periodiem. Tika apskatītas ilustrācijas līdz 19.gs., tad atsevišķi izdalot 19.gs. un 20.gs ilustrācijas. Visbeidzot pētījumu noslēdzot ar 21.gs. ilustrācijām. Analīze tika veikta pēc tādiem kritērijiem kā: kompozīcija, krāsa, tēli un vēstījums. Darba radošajā daļā tika izveidots mākslinieciskais iekārtojums Žila Verna zinātniskās fantastikas grāmata "20 000 ljē pa jūras dzelmi."

In this diploma paper science fiction illustrations, the history of their development and their visual stylistics were studied. In the theoretical part of this paper the concept of science fiction and the features of its historical origin indicating its belonging to this genre were clarified. Such sub-genres of science fiction as space opera, new wave, cyberpunk and steampunk as well as their stylistic peculiarities were studied and the illustrators for each of the development stages were ascertained. In the empirical part of this paper science fiction illustrations were gathered and analysed by grouping them according to the four time periods. First, illustrations created in the time period until the 19th century were analysed, then illustrations of the 19th and 20th century were inspected separately and finally the research was concluded with analysing the illustrations of the 21st century. Analysis was carried out following such criteria as composition, colour, characters and message. In the creative part of the paper the artistic arrangement of the 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea by Jules Verne was prepared.
