Latviešu etnogrāfiskā materiāla pielietojums lietišķās mākslas priekšmetu ražotāju vizuālajā identitātē

Abstract

Mūdienās bieži ir redzams, ka latviešu etnogrāfiskās zīmes tiek izmantotas dažādos dizaina elementos. Darba mērķis ir noskaidrot vai šīs zīmes tiek izmantotas veidojot uzņēmumu vizuālo identitāti, vai tās izmanto tikai kā dizaina elementus, un vai zīmju simboliskajā nozīme ir svarīga tās izmantojot. Pētījuma galvenie uzdevumi ir uzzināt etnogrāfisko zīmju simbolisko nozīmi, izpētīt kādos gadījumos etnogrāfiskajām zīmēm ir bijusi piešķirta simbolizējoša nozīme. Pētījuma rezultātā jānoskaidro vai senāk un mūsdienās, izmantojot etnogrāfiskās zīmes, ir svarīgi ko tās simolizē. Tāpēc pētījuma gaitā tika izpētītas latviešu etnogrāfiskās zīmes, un to simboliskais pielietojums vēsturē un mūsdienās. Veicot pētījumu pierādījās, ka simboliskā jēga šīm zīmēm ir svarīga, un to nozīmeietekmē izvēli vai izmantot šīs zīmes kā simbolu.

In present days it's often seen that Latvian ethnographic signs are being used in various design elements. The purpose of this bachelor thesis is to find out if these signs are being used in creation of visual identity for companies or if it's just being used as a design element and to find out if the symbolic meaning of the sign is important when using it. The main goals for the research is to find out the symbolic meaning of ethnographic symbols and to research known cases when ethnographic signs have been given symbolic meaning. The research must conclude if it has been important to know the real meaning of ethnographic signs when using them in past and is important nowadays.That’s why during research we will explore various Latvian ethnographic signs and their meaning in past and present. During the research it was proven that the symbolic meaning of these signs is important and their meaning has big impact on the decision to use these signs as a symbol.
