Dziesmas ar kustību un rotaļu elementiem vārdu krājuma apguvei angļu valodas nodarbībās pirmsskolā

Abstract

Tiek plaši uzskatīts, ka mūsdienās rotaļai un spēlei ir nozīmīga loma mācību procesā pirmskolā. Uzdevumi, kuri ir vispiemērotākie angļu valodas apmācībai pirmskolas vecumā ir tie, kas ietver dziesmas ar kustību un rotaļu elementiem, dzejoļus, stāstus, spēles un daudzas citas aktivitātes. Diplomdarba autore uzskata, ka viens no labākiem mācību un vārdu krājuma apguves veidiemdiem ir dziesmas ar kustību un rotaļu elementiem. Diplomdarbs tika izstrādāts, lai izpētīt priekšrocības izmantojot dziesmas ar kustību un rotaļu elementiem vārdu krājuma apguvei pirmskolā. Izvēlētā pētījuma metode bija atsevišķa gadījuma pētījums. Pētījuma veikšanai tika izmantotas sekojošas datu vakšanas metodes: anketēšana, novērošana un video filmēšana. Diplomdarba autore izplatīja anketas, lai uzzināt angļu valodas skolotāju viedokļus par vārdu krājuma apguvi caur dziesmām ar kustību un rotaļu elementiem pirmskolas vecumā. Diplomdarba autore veica novērojumus trīs grupās ar bērniem vecumā no 5 līdz 7 gadiem, lai noskadrotu, vai dziesmas ar kustību un rotaļu elementiem palīdz vārdu krājuma apguvē. Iegūtie dati no anketām parādīja, ka lielāka daļa skolotāju izmanto dziesmas ar kustību un rotaļu elementiem kā metodi vārdu krājuma apguvei pirmskolas vecumā. Lielākā daļa skolotāju uzskata, ka dziesmas ar kustību un rotaļu elementiem palīdz saprast jauno vārdu nozīmi un palīdz iemācities pareizu vārdu izrunu. Iegūtie dati no novērojumiem parādīja, ka bērni no visām grupām guva panākumus vairākās jomās: izpratne par jauno vārdu krājumu, kā bērni atcerās veco vārdu krājumu un pareizu izrunu. Visi bērni, kuri tika novēroti guva panākumus visās minētajās jomās. Diplomdarba veiktais pētījums parādīja, ka pirmsskolas vecuma bērni sasniedza augstākus rezultātus, kad tiem tika mācītas dziesmas ar kustību un rotaļu elementiem. Dziesmas ar kustību un rotaļu elementiem palīdz saprast vārdu nozīmi izmantojot žestus, fiziskās darbības un mīmiku dziļākajā līmenī. Vārdu krājuma apguve tiek veiksmīgi veicināta izmantojot dziesmas ar kustību un rotaļu elementiem.

It is widely considered nowadays that play and game have a significant meaning in the learning process in preschool. Activities that are most appropriate for learning English language in preschool are those which include action songs, rhymes, stories, games and many other activities. The author of the Paper supposes that action songs are one of the best ways of teaching and presenting a new vocabulary. The Paper was written in order to examine the benefits of using action songs for developing very young learners’ vocabulary in English language lessons in preschool. The chosen research method of the Paper was a case study. In order to complete the research the following data collection methods were used: questionnaire, observation and videotaping. The author of the Paper has distributed the questionnaires in order to clarify English language teachers’ opinions on vocabulary acquisition through action songs in preschool. The author of the Paper conducted observations in three groups with the children aged from 5 to 7 in order to find out whether action songs contribute to vocabulary development. The data received from the questionnaires showed that most teachers use action songs as a method for vocabulary acquisition in preschool age. The majority of the teachers regard that action songs help a lot to understand the meaning of new vocabulary and help to learn the correct pronunciation of words. The data received from observations showed that children from all groups made progress in several aspects: comprehension of the new vocabulary, how children remember old vocabulary and pronunciation. All children observed made progress in all these aspects. The research done by the author of the Paper showed that very young learners achieved greater results when they were taught through action songs. Action songs help to understand the meaning of the vocabulary by using gestures, physical actions and mimicry on a more profound level. The usage of action songs successfully contributes to vocabulary development.
