Tautību stereotipu saistība ar uztverto ģeogrāfisko attālumu

Abstract

Šī pētījuma mērķis ir noskaidrot vai pastāv saistība starp tautības stereotipiem un ģeogrāfisko attālumu. Šī darba izvirzītās hipotēzes pieņem, ka stereotipu piedēvējums par tuvāk dzīvojošajām tautām ir homogēnāks nekā par tālāk dzīvojošām tautām, un otrā hipotēze pieņem, ka par ģeogrāfiski tuvākām tautām pārliecība par sniegtajām stereotipiskajām īpašībām un tautu raksturojošajām pazīmēm ir augstāka. Šajā pētījumā piedalījās 100 Latvijā dzīvojoši cilvēki no kuriem 58 bija sievietes un 42 vīrieši. Vidējais vecums respondentiem bija 34 gadi (15 – 66 gadi). Pētījumā tika izmantota oriģināla aptauja pēc kuras ir iespējams noteikt tautību stereotipu – stereotipisko īpašību un stereotipisko pazīmju – piedēvējuma viendabīgumu, kā arī iespēja noteikt vai tautību stereotipiem ir saistība ar uztverto ģeogrāfisko attālumu (starp Latvijas iedzīvotājiem un Lietuvā dzīvojošiem lietuviešiem, Slovākijā dzīvojošiem slovākiem un Argentīnā dzīvojošiem argentīniešiem). Šī darba galveni veiktie secinājumi ir, ka homogēnāks stereotipu piedēvējums ir par Slovākijā dzīvojošiem slovākiem, bet tas norāda, ka respondentu atbilžu vērtības vairāk ir neitrālas, nekā izteikts vērtējums cik lielā mērā šīs īpašības vai pazīmes piemīt slovākiem, līdz ar to ir iespējams secināt, ka rezultāti vairāk norāda neziņas viendabīgumu par slovākiem. Kā arī respondentu pārliecība par sniegtajiem datiem lielāka ir par lietuviešiem un argentīniešiem. Līdz ar to var teikt, ka darba mērķis ir daļēji apstiprinājies. Saistība tautību stereotipiem ar ģeogrāfisko attālumu, t.i. vai par tuvāk dzīvojošām tautām stereotipi ir homogēnāki nekā par tālākām, ir neliela. Par lietuviešiem un argentīniešiem stereotipu vērtējums ir daudzveidīgāks, bet par slovākiem ir izteiktāks, bet neitrālāks.

This research aim is to find out if there is relation be between ethnic stereotypes and geographical distance. This work has two hypothesis: first hypothesis is accepting that stereotype attribution are more homogeneous if the ethnic group is living closer then further, and the second hypothesis is accepting that confidence level will be higher to geographically closer living ethnic group then futher. In this research participated 100 people from Latvia. 58 of them were women an 42 were man. The average age were 34 years (15 – 66 years). In this work was used original poll after which is posible to assess ethnic stereotype (stereotypical characteristics and stereotypical features) attribution consensus and opportunity assess if ethnic stereotypes has relation to geographical distance (between Latvian people and in Lithuania living Lithuanians, Slovakia living Slovaks and Argentina living Argentine). The main conclusions was that stereotype are more homogeneous about Slovakia living Slovaks but answer values in poll are more neutral. Expressed valuation is low in how much stereotypical characteristics and stereotypical features has Slovaks. Thereby is possible to come to conclusion that results show more suspense consensus about Slovaks then stereotype content consensus. Higher expressed valuation respondents show about Lithuanians and Argentine. It can be said that this research aim is confirmed partly. Relation between ethnic stereotypes and geographical distance is slight i.e. if stereotypes is homogeneous about closer living ethnic group than further. Stereotype valuation is more diverse about Lithuanians and Argentine, but stereotype valuation is more prominent and neutral about Slovaks.
