Android lietotne "Velo novietnes"

Abstract

Velo novietnes ir lietotne Android platformai, kura ir domāta informācijas izplatīšanas atvieglošanai un informācijas apkopošanai par velo novietņu atrašanās vietām, velosipēdu servisa centriem un velo celiņiem Rīgā. Šobrīd pārvietojoties ar velosipēdu, nav parocīga veida kā atrast drošu vietu, kur novietot velosipēdu, kad to neizmanto, vai arī atrast informāciju par servisa centriem Rīgā, ja kaut kas ir atgadījies ar velosipēdu. Braucējam ir jāapmeklē dažādas interneta vietnes, lai iegūtu tīkamo informāciju un lielākoties šī vietnes nav optimizētas priekš viedtālruņiem. Tā kā autors neatrada alternatīvu programmas variantu Google Play Store lietotņu veikalā, tika izstrādāta lietotne, kura risina minētās problēmas un palīdz velobraucējiem droši pārvietoties pa Rīgu.

“Velo novietnes” is an Android application that proviedes collected information about bicycle parking, service and bycicle paths in Riga, simplifying the distribution of information and unifying it. Nowadays there is no easy way to find a safe spot to park your bike, or to find out information about bicycle service in Riga if something happened to your bike. Cyclists need to browse different websites to find the infromation they need and more often than not these websites aren’t optimised for smartphones. As there is no alternative found in the Google Play Store for such application, the author set out to develop a new application, which would solve previously stated problems and help the cyclists to safely ride in Riga.
