In Bachelors research it is described the laser scanning data usage and treatment method in Baltic Ice lake coastline determination with GIS, used 4 data treatment programs: Bentley Microstation v8i – TerraScan, Surfer 10, Global Mapper 16 and ArcMap 10. Bachelors research target is to use LIDAR raw data, from which the terrain model is used to define Baltic Ice lake coastlines: Bgl I, Bgl II and Bgl III stages, in some cases even dividing Bgl II, Bgl IIIa, Bgl IIIb and Bgl IIIc stages. Research is actual because laser scanning data usage in nowadays is one of the most accurate methods in the earth’s surface and its formation research. It is not only used the relief terrain models for coastline research but it is also performed LIDAR data processing for digital terrain models.
The Bachelors research volume is 47 pages, which contains 2 attachments and 27 pictures. Research is written in latvian.
Keywords: Baltic Ice lake, laser scanning - LIDAR, terrain model, coastline, data classification.
