The objective of this research is to study tendencies and factors of the use of Anglicisms in the domain of French advertising. The research contains the analysis of Anglicisms, collected from advertisements of 10 French magazines of the year 2014. The research is based on works of well-known linguists René Étiemble, Manfred Hofler, Lionel Meney as well as on the great terminological dictionary, the dictionary Larousse, the dictionary «Les usuels du Robert» etc. Qualitative and quantitative methods are used in the research. The results of the research indicate that Anglicisms in today’s French advertising do not threaten the French language. On the contrary, they facilitate the evolution of the French language and respond to society’s needs.
