dc.description.abstract | Glioblastoma – visizplatītākais un visbīstamākais galvassmādzeņu primārs audzējs. To ārstē, izmantojot kombinēto ķīmij-stāru terapiju. | en_US |
dc.description.abstract | Glioblastoma one of the most common and dangerous primary brain tumors. It can be cured using combined chemistry-radiotherapy. To predict the efficiency of combined therapy and potential increase of patient’s survival time it is necessary to determine and evaluate possible prognostic factors. In this research the following prognostic factors had been examined: patients, age and gender, the allocation of the tumor ( in the right or left hemisphere of the brain), the scope of the operation ( resection or biopsy) and KPS. To find out the effect of these factors 78 clinical cases was taken from patient’s case rasords and medical layers. Data were collected using MS Excel 2003 and Med Calc software. The final results of the resarch prove that patient’s age and the allocation of the tumor have known prognosti value. This data partly is aligned with the rest of the research results. However, it requires futher studies. | en_US |
