Ķīnas, Dienvidkorejas, Krievijas, Japānas un Amerikas Savienoto Valstu ārpolitikas stratēģijas attiecībā pret Ziemeļkoreju

Abstract

Maģistra darba tēma ir “Ķīnas, Dienvidkorejas, Krievijas, Japānas un Amerikas Savienoto Valstu ārpolitikas stratēģijas attiecībā pret Ziemeļkoreju.” Mērķis ir noskaidrot, vai valstis, kas vēlas Ziemeļkorejas uzvedības maiņu, izvēlas tādas ārpolitikas stratēģijas, kas pēc iespējas veicina Ziemeļkorejas iekšējo nestabilitāti, kas var radīt režīma brukšanu. Darba rezultātā var secināt, ka ģeogrāfiski tuvu novietotas valstis nav izmantojušas izolēšanas stratēģiju, bet spiediena izdarīšanu vai atbalsta sniegšanu. Savukārt tālāk novietotās valstis ir izmantojušas spiediena izdarīšanas vai izolēšanas stratēģijas. Valstīm, kam ir sauszemes robeža ar Ziemeļkoreju, ir lielāka iespēja saskarties ar sekām, ko radītu Ziemeļkorejas režīma brukšana, nekā tām, kas atrodas tālāk.

The theme of master paper is “China's, South Korea's, Russia's, Japan's and United States foreign policy strategies towards North Korea”. The goal of the paper is to detect, if the countries which are interested in the change of the behavior of North Korea, uses such foreign policy strategies which may contribute to North Korea’s internal instability and which could possibly lead to the collapse of its regime. The results reveal that countries that are located geographically close to each other have not used isolation strategy, but rather pressure strategy or country assistance strategy, while more distant countries have used pressure strategy or isolation strategy. It can be cocluded that, countries who share a land border with North Korea are more likely to face consequences caused by the collapse of North Korea’s regime, than those further away.
