Abstract

Bakalaura darba „Intīmās attiecības ilgstošas sociālās aprūpes institūcijās” mērķis ir - noskaidrot kā veidojas klientu intīmās attiecības ilgstošas sociālās aprūpes centros. Intīmās attiecības autore saprot kā fiziski un emocionāli tuvas attiecības starp divām personām, kur liela loma ir personu seksualitātei. Darbā izmantota totālo institūciju teorija, normalizācijas princips un stereotipu skaidrojums. Bakalaura darbam tika izvēlēts kvalitatīvas pētniecības metodes, izmantojot daļēji strukturētas intervijas, ar aprūpes centra „X” klientiem un darbiniekiem, datu apstrādē izmantota kvalitatīvā kontentanalīze. Klienti var neizprast atšķirību starp intīmajām attiecībām un seksualitāti. Darbiniekiem trūkst skaidras izpratnes, kā atbalstīt klientus intīmo attiecību normalizāciju.

The aim of the Bachelor’s Paper “Intimate relationships in long-term social care institutions” is to find out how the clients intimate relationships are being formed in long-term social care institutions. The author understands intimate relationships as physically and emotionally close relationships between two people where sexuality plays an important role. Theory of total institutions, principles of normalization and stereotype explanations were used in the paper. For the Bachelor’s Paper there were chosen qualitative searching methods as data collecting method, using semi- structured interviews with social centre “X” clients and staff, the method of content analysis was used for processing data. Clients may not be able to understand the difference between sexuality and intimate relationships. Employees struggle with the understanding on how to support their customers on normalization of intimate relationships.
