Šī bakalaura darba mērķis ir noskaidrot kādas ir brāļu Ītana un Džoela Koenu (Ethan and Joel Coen) autoriskās un režisoriskās iezīmes; kas ir tās stila iezīmes, kas atšķir šos brāļus no citiem pasaules slaveniem režisoriem. Brāļi Koeni ir slavens Holivudas režisoru/scenāristu tandēms, kritiķi un fani raksturo šos autorus kā vienus no ietekmīgākajiem šīs paaudzes režisoriem, kuru filmas atšķirās ar izteiktu stilu režijā un naratīvā. Šī darba mērķis ir analizēt Koenu filmas, lai noteiktu šīs stila iezīmes. The bachelor thesis "Cinematographic style of Coen brothers" is devoted to the research of what constitutes the unique stylistic feeling of films produced and directed by the Coen brothers.In this research the term "cinematographic" is used to describe both - the film technique and the writing style. The Coen Brothers are a filmmaking duo who fully produce their own films by writing and directing them together. They are renowned by critics and audiences alike for their distinct cinematic style. The research is conducted by applying semiotic analysis and narrative analysis, because the brothers write and direct movies.
