E-komercijas platformas Magento trūkumi un iespējamie risinājumi

Abstract

Maģistra darba ietvaros tiek analizēta populārā e-komercijas sistēma Magento. Balstoties uz pētījumu un uz darba autora pieredzi darbā ar šo sistēmu, tiek identificēti sistēmas būtiskie trūkumi, kas apgrūtina dzīvi sistēmas lietotājiem – pārtulkotu pieslēdzamo moduļu un dizaina tēmu trūkums, ierobežotas iespējas lietotājam, bez programmēšanas iemaņām, mainīt tēmas dizainu, kā arī sistēmas lēns darbības ātrums. Katram no atrastiem trūkumiem darba autors piedāvā risinājumu, detalizēti to aprakstot. Dažu trūkumu risinājumam autors piedāvā savas idejas, bet citu trūkumu risinājumam – esošās tehnoloģijas. Piedāvātos risinājumus darba autors veiksmīgi realizē un implementē, kā arī detalizēti apraksta izstrādes un implementācijas procesu.

The theme of master’s thesis is “Drawbacks of E-commerce platform Magento and possible solutions”. Current document describes the analysis of e-commerce platform "Magento". Some important drawbacks of the system were identified based on the research. The drawbacks include the lack of translations for design themes and plug-and-play modules, as well as insufficient capacity to modify existing design themes for non-developers. In addition to the drawbacks mentioned above, slow speed of the system make the "Magento" even less user-friendly. Current document offers a solution for each identified drawback. Some ideas described in the document belong to the author, while other solutions are based on the already existing technologies. All in all, the aims of the project have been reached as the improvements were successfully implemented.
