Maģistra darbā izpētītas Latvijas Universitātes Sociālo zinātņu fakultātes Komunikācijas nodaļas studentu aizstāvēto noslēguma darbu anotācijas un tajās iekļautās metaforas, noskaidrojot to galvenās lietošanas tendences un izmaiņas laikā.
Darba teorētiskā daļa galvenokārt apskata konceptuālo metaforu teoriju Leikofa (Lakoff) skatījumā, kā arī citu autoru piedāvātos papildinājumus, labojumus un dažas alternatīvas teorijas, tai skaitā konceptuālās saplūšanas teoriju.
Par pētījuma metodi izvēlēta kontentanalīze pētījuma lauka analizēšanai, kā arī brīvā apraksta metode un sprieduma uzdevumi atrasto metaforu saprotamības, pieņemamības un uztveres noskaidrošanai.
Darba rezultātā noskaidrotas galvenās lietotās metaforu kategorijas un to lietošanas tendences, kā arī izvirzīti vairāki svarīgi jautājumi un apsvērumi pētnieciskās tēmas turpināšanai. In this masters thesis work the abstracts of thesis works by students of Department of Communication Studies at the Faculty of Social Science, University of Latvia have been studied to find metaphors and reveal their use and changes with time.
The theortecial part of this thesis studies the conceptual metaphor theory by Lakoff, changes and additions suggested by other other authors, as well as several other theories, including the conceptual blending theory.
Contentanalysis is used to indentify and analyse the metaphors, and free description and judgment task methods are used to evaluate the understanding, percieving and acceptability of the found metaphors.
The thesis results show the major used metaphor categories and their uses, and poses several important questions and considerations for future studies of conceptual metaphor.
