50.gadu dzimtes konstrukcija amerikāņu TV seriālā „Masters of Sex” (1.sezona)

Abstract

Bakalaura darba tēma ir „50.gadu dzimtes konstrukcija amerikāņu TV seriālā „Masters of Sex” (1.sezona)” un tā mērķis ir noskaidrot, vai amerikāņu televīzijas seriāla „Masters of Sex” 1.sezonas galveno varoņu tēli tiek veidoti balstoties uz 50.gadu dzimtes konstrukcijām. Darba teorētiskajā daļā ir aplūkota sociālās realitātes konstruēšanas teorija, dzimtes un dzimtes identitātes teorētiskā bāze, kā arī laikmeta vēsture, lai sniegtu ieskatu pētāmās problēmas vēsturē. Darba pētnieciskajā daļā izmantota kvalitatīvā pētniecības metode – naratīva analīze, semiotiskā analīze un fokusa grupas analīze. Pētījuma rezultātā konstatēts, ka amerikāņu televīzijas seriāla „Masters of Sex” 1.sezona balstās uz 50.gadu dzimtes konstrukcijām.

The main theme of ths bachelor thesis is „Gender construction of 50’s in American TV series „Masters of Sex” (1st season) and its aim is to determine if the main characters of American TV series „Masters of Sex” are built by gender constructions of the 50’s. The theoretical basis of this bachelor thesis contains theory of social construction of reality, the basis of term „gender” and gender identity, and the history of 50’s to provide insight of history of this research poblem. Qualitative research method – narrative analysis, semiotic analysis and focus group analysis are a part of this research basis. The results of this research show, that the American television series of „Masters of Sex” (1st seasone) are based on gender construction of 50’s
