Ārvalstu tiešo investīciju vide, tās risku novērtējums Baltijas valstīs

Abstract

Studiju noslēguma darba tēma ir “Ārvalstu tiešo investīciju vide, tās risku novērtējums Baltijas valstīs”. Tā kā ārvalstu tiešās investīcijas (turpmāk tekstā ĀTI) ir ļoti būtiskas ekonomisko apstākļu sekmēšanai valstī, darbā tiek analizēti Baltijas valstīs pastāvošie problemātiskie ĀTI vides apstākļi, kas varētu kavēt ārvalstu investīciju piesaisti Baltijas valstīs, kā rezultātā arī ekonomisko izaugsmi. Darba mērķis ir analizēt ĀTI struktūru un tās izmaiņas Baltijā laika posmā no 2004. – 2014. gadam un noteikt, kā Baltijas valstu investīciju vide un tajā pastāvošie riski ietekmē ĀTI. Mērķa sasniegšanai izvirzītie uzdevumi: noskaidrot ĀTI un to vides teorētiskos aspektus, analizēt Baltijas valstu ĀTI rādītājus, starptautiskos novērtējumus, veikt ekspertu intervijas un noteikt problemātiskākos faktorus ĀTI veikšanai Baltijā. No iegūtajiem diplomdarba rezultātiem var secināt, ka vislielākā problēma Baltijas valstīs ir infrastruktūras kvalitāte, darbaspēka pieejamība un to kvalifikācijas līmenis, tirgus lielums, kā arī valstu mārketings starptautiskā mērogā.

Diploma thesis is “Foreign Direct Investment environment and its risk assessment in the Baltic States”. As foreign direct investment (hereinafter FDI) is very essential in terms of promoting economic processes in a country, the paper focuses on FDI problematic conditions that exist in the Baltic States, which could prevent foreign investors from making an investment there, thus hindering economic growth. The objective of the paper is to analyze the FDI structure and its changes in the Baltic States from year 2004. until year 2014. and to determine how the investment environment and its risks in the Baltic States may affect FDI inflows. The objectives set in order to achieve the goal are: to ascertain theoretical aspects of FDI and its environment, to analyze the FDI situation in the Baltic States, to analyze Baltic States’ assessment in various international ratings, to interview experts and identify problematic factors investors are facing when investing in the Baltic States. From the results obtained in the paper, it can be concluded that the biggest problems in the Baltic States’ investment environment are the quality of the infrastructure, labor availability and qualification level, market size and lack of marketing of the countries on international scale.
