Abstract

Bakalaura darba tēma ir ''Valsts policijas tēls laikraksta ''Diena'', ziņu portāla ''Apollo'' publikācijās un Valsts policijas darbinieku un iedzīvotāju priekšstatos (2015)''. Darba mērķis ir noskaidrot, kāds tēls Valsts policijai ir radies mediju publikācijās, kā arī Valsts policijas darbinieku un iedzīvotāju priekšstatos. Pētnieciskā problēma ir Valsts policijas tēla kopīgās un atšķirīgās iezīmes laikraksta „Diena” un interneta portāla „Apollo” publikācijās, Valsts policijas darbinieku un iedzīvotāju priekšstatos. Bakalaura darbs sastāv no teorētiskās, metodoloģiskās un empīriskās daļas. Darba teorētiskajā daļā skaidrots konstruktīvisms, valsts institūcijas komunikācija un mediju loma tajā, Klausa Mertena tēla teorija. Metodoloģiskajā daļā aplūkotas pielietotās pētniecības metodes - kvantitatīvā kontentanalīze, semantiskais diferenciālis, anketēšana un intervija. Empīriskā jeb pētnieciskā daļa ietver mediju publikāciju un lietotāju komentāru analīzi, iedzīvotāju un Valsts policijas darbinieku aptaujas analīzi, rezultātus un secinājumus.

The goal of the Bachelor’s thesis, that is called „State Police image in newspaper „Diena”, news portal „Apollo” publications, in the State police empoyees’ and citizens’ perceptions (2015)”, is to determine the image of State police that has emerged in media publications and in perceptions of State police employees and citizens. The issue of the research is that there is divergence of the State police image that reveals in the publications of newspaper „Diena” and news website „Apollo” and in perceptions of State police employees and citizens. This Bachelor’s thesis consists of theoretical, methodological and empirical parts. The theoretical part of Bachelor’s thesis explains constructivism, public institution communication and the role of media in it, as well as Klaus Mertena theory of image. The methodological part deals with applied research methods – quantitative content analysis, semantic differential, questionnaire and interview. The empirical part includes analysis of media publications and comments, data analysis that were obtained in questionnaires, as well as summary of the results and conclusions.
