Title: outpatient health care attendance affecting factors by patients’ view.
Background: literature data show that nowadays there are many influencing factors, that affect health care availability both in positive and negative way. Health care availability is a comprehensive concept which includes financial, physical accessibility, the health care system's suitability for different situations, and its ability to respond to the different requirements for demands of society.
Methods: 16 in-depth interviews were made with patients of a prive urology clinic “X” to discover and analyze health care services’ attendance influencing factors. Interviews were face to face, the conversations were recorded. Data were transcribed verbatim and in-depth interview’s analysis methods were used.
Results: During data coding, 6 main categories were explored. Further those were combined into 3 themes: health care availability influencing factors by patients’ thoughts, patients’ experience receiving heath care services and cooperation between the patient and the physician. The main influencing factors were related to the patient, the doctor, geographical distance, health care facility specifications, financial barriers and health care system. Every of those factors had positive and negative influence depending on the circumstances.
Conclusions: There are discovered six main factor’s groups related to patient, doctors, health care facility, finances, geographical and health care system. Every factors has possitive and negatice influance depending on the circumstation.
