Transkulturālās aprūpes aktualitāte Rīgā un Vidzemes reģionā

Abstract

Šī bakalaura darba tēma ir transkulturālās aprūpes aktualitāte Rīgā un Vidzemes reģionā. Tēmas aktualitāti nosaka pieaugošie globalizācijas procesi pasaulē un migrācijas kustības pieaugums Latvijā kopš iestāšanās Eiropas Savienībā, kā rezultātā māsu izglītošanā pieaug pieprasījums pēc transkulturālās aprūpes zināšanu un prasmju apgūšanas. Darba mērķis ir izzināt transkulturālās aprūpes aktualitāti Rīgā un Vidzemes reģionā, līdz ar to autora noteiktie pētniecības uzdevumi ir: 1) izpētīt literatūru par transkulturālo aprūpi, neverbālo saskarsmi, Madeleinas Leinindžeras māszinību teoriju; 2) izveidot anketu un izvēlēties respondentu grupu; 3) veikt aptauju; 4) veikt aptaujas analīzi; 5) izstrādāt secinājumus. Šī bakalaura darba ietvaros izvirzīta šāda hipotēze: Rīgā, multinacionālā sabiedrībā, transkulturālās aprūpes realizācija ir aktuālāka, jo balstīta uz lielāku reālo gadījumu pieredzi nekā Vidzemes reģionā. Pētniecības instruments: veikt 100 māsu aptauju daudzprofilu slimnīcās – 48 Rīgā, 40 mazpilsētā, izmantojot datu apstrādes un analīzes metodi – statistisko metodi. Šī bakalaura darba autora iegūtie rezultāti pētījuma laikā apstiprināja izvirzīto hipotēzi, ka kultūrkompetenta aprūpe pacientiem ir vairāk aktuāla Rīgā nekā reģionā, un reģionā atšķirīgu pacientu aprūpe netiek atsevišķi apzīmēta kā transkulturālā aprūpe. Savukārt, citi rezultāti pierādīja transkulturālās aprūpes realizācijas nozīmīguma izpratni un aktuālu vajadzību profesionāli praktizējošu māsu vidū Rīgā un Vidzemes reģionā. Balstoties uz pētījuma rezultātiem, autors konstatēja, ka vajag organizēt kursus par transkulturālo aprūpi Rīgā un reģionā, lai māsas, kuras ieguvušas izglītību pirms vairāk nekā 10 gadiem, var iegūt vajadzīgās un aktuālās zināšanas un, lai tādā veidā arī tiktu uzlabota aprūpes kvalitāte un māsu prasmes. The theme of this Bachelor Thesis is „Transcultural Care Relevance in Riga and Vidzeme Region”. The theme is determined by the increasing globalisation processes in the world and the growing migratory movement in Latvia since the accession to the European Union, followed by rising demand in education for Transcultural Care and skills acquisition in nursing. The aim of the thesis is to explore the Transcultural Care relevance in Riga and Vidzeme Region (Northern Latvia). Thus the following research objectives are set by author: (1) To study literature on Transcultural Care, non-verbal communication, Madelaine Leininger nursing theory; (2) To create a questionnaire and choose a group of respondents; (3) To conduct a survey; (4) To carry out the survey analysis; (5) To draw conclusions. In the framework of this Bachelor Thesis the following hypothesis is defined: in Riga, in a multiethnic society, the Transcultural Care realization is more urgent than in Vidzeme region, based on the experience of a larger number of real cases. The research tool: to make a survey of 100 nurses in different hospitals – 48 in Riga, 40 – in small towns, using the statistical method of data processing and analysis. The results obtained by the Thesis author during the research confirmed the proposed hypothesis that culturally competent care for patients is more relevant in Riga rather than in the Vidzeme Region, and different patients’ care is not separately defined as Transcultural Care in the Region. Additionally, other results proved the importance of Transcultural Care realization awareness and its actual need among the professional nurses employed in Riga and Vidzeme Region. Based on the study results the author recognized the need in organizing courses on Transcultural Care in Riga and the Region to enable nurses with graduation of 10 years or more acquisition of the relevant and necessary knowledge, resulting improvement in the quality of care and nursing skills.
