Latviešu etnogrāfiskās rakstu zīmes 21. gadsimta amatniecībā un mākslā

Abstract

Amanda Kožuhovska. Latviešu etnogrāfiskās zīmes 21. gs. amatniecībā un mākslā. Diplomdarbs. Rīga: LU PPMF, 2016. Diplomdarbs veltīts latviešu etnogrāfisko zīmju pielietojuma izpētei. Pētījuma mērķis ir izprast zīmju vēsturi un pielietojumu no 1. līdz 20 gs. un salīdzināt ar 21. gs. pielietojumu amatniecībā un mākslā. Izvirzītā hipotēze – latviešu etnogrāfisko rakstu zīmes ir aktuālas 21. gadsimta dizainā un tām tiek piešķirta mitoloģiska nozīme. Autore sniedz ieskatu latviešu etnogrāfisko zīmju vēsturē, vairāku amatnieku, mākslinieku un uzņēmēju viedokļos par latviešu zīmju pielietojumu un attīstību, veic vizuālo materiālu salīdzinājumus. Darba gaitā tika gūti secinājumi, ka zīmes 21. gs. ir ieguvušas jaunu veidolu un ir attīstījušās. Vairs tik plaši netiek izmantoti ornamenti, zīmju grupējumi, bet gan tiek sintezētas individuālas zīmes. Zīmes ir bijušas aktuāls dizaina elements cauri vēsturei, bet to uztvere un pielietojums laika gaitā krasi atšķiras.

Amanda Kožuhovska. Latvian ethnographic signs of the 21st century arts and crafts. Thesis. Riga: LU PPMF, 2016. The main task in this thesis was to research the usage of Latvian ethnographic signs. The research aims to understand the history and the use of signs from the 1st to 20th century and compare it with the 21st century use of signs in crafts and arts. The hypothesis- Latvian ethnographic signs are a topical design element in the 21st century design and there is a mythological significance attached to them. The author provides an insight into the history of Latvian ethnographic signs and the opinion about the application and evolution of Latvian signs of several craftsmen, artists and entrepreneurs. She also makes visual material comparisons. As the work progressed, the author made a conclusion that Latvian signs have evolved and acquired a new image in the 21st century. Ornaments and sign groupings are no longer used so widely, but individual signs are being synthesized. Signs have been a topical design element through history, but the perception and use of them have changed very much over time.
